UIHC Contract survey

Your elected negotiators have distilled key issues and developed the following survey to seek advice from members regarding  priorities.  Please help the team by checking the appropriate box or ranking the options. Click on the submit button to send your survey. Results will be posted on the UIHC website in a few weeks

Please check (or rank if required) your answers to the following questions.

  1. Check the one wage proposal you prefer:
                    Straight percentage increase across the board
                    Greater percentage increase for senior staff

  2. If we could make any changes to your health benefits, check the one you prefer:
                    UIHC's contributions to my health care plan should be increased
                    The total amount of UIHC's flex benefits should be increased
                    Single parents with eligible children should be able to apply for family benefits

  3. To set more limits for pulling or floating, rank the following option from 1 to 3, with 1 being the most important and 3 the least important:
      Staff need to be trained and oriented to the special requirements such as monitor training, CPI, neurochecks, etc. of the pulled unit
      No pull outside of division (nursing) or area (for non-nursing professionals)
      Designated resource person for each pull

  4. Please rank the following from 1 to 8, 1 being the most important and 8 being the least important: 
      Increased wages
      Limits on extension of shifts and call 2 (OR) 
      Comp time at time and a half
      Limits on pull/float
      Defined shift and workplace assignments to include rotation and weekends
      Charge or point person pay
      Preceptor pay
      Standing staffing committee for RNs and a new staffing committee for non-nursing professionals
  5. Are you familiar with the concept of PTO (Paid Time Off)?
    Yes            No  

  6. If the total hours (vacation, sick, holiday) would remain the same, would you willing to go to a PTO system, instead of separate banks?
    Yes             No
