Nursing Staffing Council

The newly created Staffing Council met for the first time on August 7th. This committee consist of 5 members nominated by SEIU and 5 members chosen by UIHC nursing administration. Linda Everett, Director of Nursing Services, is in charge of the committee. The 5 SEIU members are representing each nursing division:

This committee will meet every 6 weeks. Minutes of the meetings will be available on Informm. SEIU members see this committee as an opportunity to discuss staffing issues with UIHC administration. Please contact your division’s representative with ideas, problems or issues you would like to see addressed. One way everyone can alert us to particular problems is to faithfully complete Unsafe Staffing Forms and turn them in to your worksite leader and the SEIU office. The forms are available from your worksite leader or log on to the SEIU Local 199 website.
